Treatment and Services

I provide the following services to my clients and their families:

  • Individual counseling and psychotherapy

  • EMDR Intensives

  • Group therapy

Treatment is specialized for each client and what goals you are hoping to achieve. While I do not have a cookie cutter approach to therapy,  I utilize these clinical interventions:

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

  • Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT)

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

  • Psychoanalytic

  • Psychodynamic

I am currently in network with Medicaid/Husky, United Healthcare, and Connecticare insurance.  I also work with out of network providers. Payment is due at the time of your appointment and can be rendered in the form of cash, check or credit card. You are also welcome to utilize your HSA or FSA accounts.

Are you just starting your career in mental health and feel unprepared? One of my passions is empowering new therapists as they begin their journey in the field. I remember how challenging those early days were and am committed to helping new therapists build confidence and grow in their clinical skills. I offer clinical supervision, case consultation and guidance on launching a private practice.

What to Expect

Appointments are usually about 50 minutes in length.  Our initial visit will be a detailed assessment which involves me asking a lot of questions about your history, background and strengths.  This is done as a way of helping me understand you and your goals of therapy. Together, we will discuss and collaborate on a plan to help you meet your treatment goals.

Therapy can feel uncomfortable and awkward — I get that. That’s why I work hard to create a space that feels calm, kind, and human. We might practice breathing exercises, sit on the floor,  take a walk outside if that’s easier, or play music when words feel too heavy. I will meet you where you are.

This is a collaborative space. We’ll laugh sometimes, maybe cry, probably curse — but more than anything, we’ll talk like real humans.  I’ll bring my whole, honest self into the room with you, and I’ll invite you to do the same. I’m not here to fix you — I’m here to walk beside you as you begin to better understand and care for yourself.
